CSP 5 in 24 Strategy and Expedited Delivery

Hi,

I was planning to get CSP early in November since a Vegas trip and a March Punta Cana trip that must be paid in advance by February would allow me to easily hit the spending bonus.

However, I've run into a snag with the 5 new accounts in 24 months policy. My fifth account falls past the 24 month window on November 14, 2015 per the date on the account in Credit Karma. I leave for that Vegas trip on November 19th.

Do I dare risk a decline by applying a week before the week before the 5th account ages past 24 months? Do I apply on November 15 and request expedited delivery by the 18th? Is expedited delivery even possible? Do I risk the account not being recognized as outside 24 months that quickly? How long would you wait to apply?

I will still hit the bonus one way or another if i wait until December 1 to apply, I would just probably have to move forward some spring purchases. Only a minor inconvenience but the timing kinda stinks.

Just wait until you are past the threshold of the policy.

Yes; but do I try to do it so close to the 24 month line as to have it before Vegas? I'm also navigating a rate deadline on the Punta Cana booking of book by Dec 5th or so.

Only you can answer your question. You know what the policy is. You can choose to risk it and do it early and potentially be screwed, or just wait and do it when you know the new accounts are old enough. It depends how important this is to you.
