Synchrony is pushing usage of the Old Navy Visa

I received my Old Navy Visa a the end of August with a $1,000 credit limit. Upon activation, I got a cli to $7,000. Just this week I got a cli to $10,000 and now I'm at my Synchrony max of $100,000. It seems like every week I get a mailer about using the Old Navy Visa outside of Old Navy, Bananna Republic, etc... and earn certificates. They be very simple earnings too like pay a bill (regardless of the amount) and receive a $40 certificate good on any purchase at Old Navy, Bananna Reppublic, etc... Well just in the short time that I've had the card, I've earned $100 in certificates that I can use at their stores. Now I have another mailer that says for every purchase outside our brands I can earn 100 extra points (500 points equal $5) with a maximum of 2,000 ponts. That's $20 if I wanted to just go to the store and make 20 purchases of say a candybar. I like this Old Navy Visa for these offers.

I just got a CLI just two days ago to $7,600.00 from $5,000.00 on my Banana Republic card and I'm getting the same Old Navy emails too. Their points promotions are really out of control. Synchrony really wants people to spend money right now.

I'm thinking they want those swipe fees since all of mine have been to use the card outside of their brands. Of course the certificates will eventually get you into their stores to spend money. A powerful matchup there.

It's also a funny thing to see people's reaction to my BR card. I recently used it at my eye doctors and chinese restaurant. The guy at the chinese restaurant looked at it with such curiousity like he wasnt sure if he could actually swipe it like a credit card and tried really hard to pronounce it "Baaaa na na" and gave up I had a little snicker because of how he kept turning it around and peering closely at it. Guy at the eye doctor just went "wow, really?" Point man Points. lol I'm looking to buy a nice coat.

Too funny. I get that with my NASA card. It looks like a car insurance card with a visa logo. It's very flemsy. Almost looks like colored paper

The points are amazing! I just purchased $217 worth of clothing from Old Navy and paid.... wait for it.... $4.78! All because of tiny purchases and point adding up from Old Navy Visa! I can't get them to budge on my $1,000 SL but that will come in time It's a great card to have, espeically since ON is ALWAYS offering some other type of deal to go along with it! Best decision ever!

I couldn't agree more. I would rate this card right up there with some of my other high rewards cards. It was a great decision for me as well. Then they always have sales for card holders too. Synchrony/Old Navy is a dynamic duo.

It's a must have card, especially if Old Navy remotely interest you and/or your family. The rewards are awesome

Which reminds! Athleta just sent me an email about their card if your intersted in them. So if you shop Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta or Old Navy now is the time to get the card. The point racking is crazy good right now.

How long after you received it was the payment due? I'm reading horror stories of people not receiving their cards and getting hit with late payments. I bought somethings the day I opened it at the store. I'm not sure if I should wait or call them to find out the due date. Lol

Carrying a little bit of a balance always seems to get the computer to budge on the CL, well in my case. Let that be your single card carrying a balance and see if it triggers an increase.

I checked out the website but it looks like there is no way to apply for the Visa version? Is it like the Dillard's Amex where you just apply and the card company determines the best fit? If you get the store card, can you recon for the Visa? Anyone who has the Visa, did you start with the store card?
