Last November and no one would know other than Chase whether it will be back soon. You can only hope that it will.

Also, there's another thread around that says the bonus spend requirement was just bumped from $3k to $4k (just an FYI).

since we are talking about this card. I am looking to app for this early next year. I stay at Mariotts at least 4-5 times a year for at least a 2 day stay. Is the Ritz "value" only at Ritz branded hotels or does it transfer to Marriotts as well(I see the $100 credit for incentals after a 2 night stay, but only at Ritz or also at Marriotts? I don't stay at Ritz but do at Mariotts. The gold status is very appealing to me. Or I am better off with the regular Chase Marriott card? I can easily make the $10k/year spend to keep gold status on the Ritz

Club level upgrade certs and the 100$ hotel credit on stays of 2+ nights is ritz hotels only. They are stackable though. Using the Z38 booking code (Promo/corporate code) will show you the rates you need to pay in order to get those benefits.

The marriott gold status is very valuable. Depends on where your marriott stays are happening. If you stay at full service hotels (JW, Marriott, Autograph Collection, Rennaissance) then gold status is a huge perk. If you stay mostly at residence inns, towneplace suites, fairfield inn, springhill suites, or courtyards, your status won't really get you anything except a 25% bonus on points.

I'm feeling lazy today. Do you happen to know if the JW, Marriott, Autograph Collection, Rennaissance happen to be within the Los Angeles area by chance? I've only seen Marriott courtyard where I stay.

Los Angeles is kind of a big city, is it not? You'd think there might be a JW Marriott, Autograph or Rennaissance somewhere in that megalopolis, but whether it is near where you are going, that's perhaps a question you might be better able to suss out from the location of hotels shown on the Marriott web site? Hmmm?
