Authorize credit cards

Hello my fico forums friends. Can anyone chime in on an advise. My DH is authorize user on 5 of my credit cards . I want to remove DH from all 5 accts. Will this hurt his credit and scores? Thank you for advice.

Depends on a lot of factors

Does he have other TL's?

Is UTL on the cards high?

How long is his AAoA w/o the 5 cards?

What's his scores look like now?

So basically this question has to many variables for anyone to answer and it's more of a trial by experiment type deal

I got to ask why do you want to drop him off 5 accounts ....He'll remember to take the garbage out next week....Lol

@ myjourney, DH has 18 yrs on one card. He has 9 cc Of his own and his credit score with all credit bureaus are in the 689 I believe I allowed DH to piggy back enough. Lol

Something here scares me

Long history (AAoA) yet scores high 600's I would expect high 700's

DH has a judgement and collections. On his own cc he has low balances and great payment history.it's the judgement and collections that brings his score down. His been approved for high credit limits because of my A1 credit.

Tell the hubby to do the dishes

Take out the garbage

Wash mama's car every week and rub her feet

Cause IMHO with what you've described dropping your (A1) 5 cards will result in a large hit score wise

His scores will be affected (Negative)

Yours are good to go and won't be affected

He might see a bit of a hit for creditors and scoing models that consider accounts where one is an AU (not all do in all situations). However, what you've stated above is the bigger issue for him. Rather than reyling on being an AU he should look into addressing those. The Rebuilding subforum is for such matters.
