Cap One 2 month CLI and Credit Steps

Hello All,

I just received a CLI with Cap One by htiting the luv button. Instantly went from sl of 500 to 1.5K. I am in the credit steps program and my 5th statement will cut on Dec 25th. I know that the increase normally doesnt happen until about the 6th or 7th statement. I was wondering from experience, if any, what type of limit was given with the increase from Credit steps? My document stated I would go from 500 to 750, but I have twice that now with the CLI from hitting the luv button. For those who are wondering I pif my first two statements, which i plan to continue to do. I will start paying more bills using my QS1 because of the cli today.

I've heard a lot of people here get cli of 3,300 over the regular 500 that is offered by spending big and paying all or most of it off every month.

You will still get your credit steps increase as promised by Cap1.

On my plat mc I was promised $500 and ended up getting $1500 instead. I have no reason why, didn't call to inquire, took it and was glad for the extra amount.

I have a QS1 that is enrolled in credit steps and the 5th statement is in December. Around day 75 or so, I got a $5K increase via the luv button, still enrolled in credit steps, very curious on what comes out of that card. Can't remember what I was promised. With Cap1 YMMV!

thanks ksb! seems like we are on the same schedule as far as credit steps is concerned. my 5th statement will cut on 12/25.

I started with 1k on my QS1 and was told I would get $500 on my steps increase. 3 months or so into it I got a CLI of 4k to total 5k on that card. Two weeks ago, I got a $500 increase so it is now $5,500. My second QS1 started at $500 and I think I was told I would have an increase of $250 for steps. I got a 1k increase a couple of months into it. I should get my steps increase tomorrow.

Credit Steps to $750 before January 2016.

PC'd Platinum to QS.

Past 3rd statement, October.

No CLI. Sitting at $500. I wait till Dec.

Annipoo if you do, will you post? I got a 1k increase today and started out with 500. My credit steps isn't due until December though.

I just logged in and saw that I got another $500 on my second QS1. So the first one went from 1k> 5k> 5.5k and the second went from 500> 1.5k> 2k.

Was this at your 6th statement?

I am immensely jealous. I have triiiiied, but they will not budge. I wonder if my credit profile is still just too trash for this kind of luv.

Yes, the extra $500 on both cards showed up the day after my 6th statement generated.

crownr0yal, what were your startling cl? Also, I waited exactly 2 months and 3 days before I hit the luv button. However, I started out with 500 cl and pif every month.
