What is the largest purchase/transaction made on your Amex charge card?

I have had my oldest charge card the PRG for a year as of today; It got me to thinking what is the most someone has charged at once and also over a months period? Im a college student that works part time so I look forward to all of the different responses.

For my one time purchase it would be the down payment on my car which was $2k

Over a months period I would have to say about $3k.

I was pretty pleased when I could say that this was "only" my hand embellish Pino painting I bought as a "go you, girl, you're so awesome!" gift to myself last year....a little over $3,000....and paid in full of my CSP along with my expenses.

....CSP probably isn't going to like me when I cash out.

Especially when I went and hired a new family law attorney for another go in family court. The attorney's retained was $5,000. Paid that in full, too. They are really going to hate me....

I think the largest single transaction I've had on an account was like $2200.

Over a month's period I've done 5k before.

On an AmEx charge card? Not much and I can't even recall what or how much. Biggest purchase ever for me was done on the UMPE.

I used to have an Amex Platinum that I used to run my small business. I had a $70k Fedex bill one December. They didn't blink at that charge, then a few months later when the shipping bill was around $20k they decided to do a FR and froze the card for a couple weeks while they took their sweet time. That's when I decided never to use an Amex issued card again.

biggest charge, probably property taxes.

Close to the amount of spend you need, not quite there need > 250k a year correct on the platinum to be invited?

1500 single change and around 4k in a month.. Only had the card 2 months this is my Amex Platinum.. Highest tried spending power for was 10k and went through fine. No clue what my current NPSL with them atm is.

5k on a QS, was for a household repair bill. The cc was max out ... I got to put the remaining $800 on my wife's QS, paid in full soon afterwards.

You may want to call them and let them know you would like to receive an inviation, may do nothing but it might help.

We charge all of our import freight costs on our Platinum card every month plus other charges. Total around $100k a month and have nevrer received a centurion invite.

This is going on for about 6 years now.

The benfits on the Centurion dont seem to be worth the annual fee, especially if your in business to make money but it is a nice status symbol if one likes such things.

My boss has one and he never had an Amex charge card. He had blue for a long time and a few other Amex revolvers. He spent a lot over the years with Amex.
