Does Your Macys Card Report

I have had a Macys credit card (Red Card) since January 08 and they have NEVER reported to the CAs. Any of them. I just pulled all three reports today again and it is not listed on any of them...

I called Macys many times and they say they report monthly.

I am in good standing, no lates.

Has anyone else experienced this or is there any way I can "force" Macys to report to the CAs?

If you are using your card regulary there is definitely something wrong and the issuer is going to have to fix it. Call Macys - go directly to a supervisor - have a copy of your recent CBR's in hand and be prepared to send copies to them. This is super odd. You do most definitely need to get on this ASAP.

I know.

Macys is the worst. I really have been disappointed with them.

Their customer service line is so annoying...I don't know if I can deal with them...haha. I am calling now...again...asking for a supervisor...

Just got my Macy's card 3 weeks ago, made a small purchase the day I got it and it is already reporting.

You can definitely "force" the Macy's account on all three reports by contacting each one of them and letting them know all of the information of the Macy's card you have. They will verify with Macy's and report the card on your next credit report. I had to do the same when I first got mine. I called Macy's once and could not deal with the wait time and decided to approach it differently.

Yes, my Macy's has always reported like clockwork to all three CRA's.

No reason why they wouldn't report, so there's nothing to really 'force', just some kind of glitch to get sorted out, most likely.

Supervisor should be able to get it taken care of for you. If that doesn't work, I think there's an option in the dispute-letter-writing-process to request that the account be added to your reports. Likely that'd work - just takes the CRA's verifying it with Macy's.

Paris did you write the three CAs letters?

I already did that in May and still nothing reported...I tried again today and wrote all three of the CAs again.

Still on hold for supervisor at Macys...

I got transfered three times and finally got an answer.

I need to write a letter and fax it in. It is a "glitch."

If anyone else needs the fax number it is 314-738-5355 and you basically just tell them it isn't reporting. You also need to fax in a copy of a picture ID.

I wrote to one of them. Forgot which one. The other two were reporting. Did you receive a letter from the CA explaining the action they took and why? They are required to do that withing 30 days of the receipt of your letter. Weird..

I was correcting other mistakes on the letters so I never did get a response from any of them on that issue.

I just faxed my form to Jasmine at Macys and she is supposed to call back to tell me the "glitch" is fixed...

An update from my post yesterday.

The customer service rep never called me back and I faxed the form she requested 2 times. She said she would call as soon as she got my form.

Again Macys customer service fails to provide service to good customers...

On another note...I emailed a question to them yesterday and they emailed back within an hour...maybe email is the way to get in touch with them...just an FYI.

We will see if they start reporting next month. Since I also sent requests to all 3 CAs we will see if that works this time...so annoying!

EQ has not been reporting for the last 24 months, but the other two are current.

Here is the update...

I wrote to all 3 credit bureaus and they all responded yesterday by mail saying basically that they can't report something that is not reported to them. That I have to get Macys to report...

During the last two weeks or so I have also been following up with Macys. I have called/emailed and done everything I can think of to get ahold of them. No change. I got a letter from Macys saying that now they will be reporting only still nothing on my CR. I have monitoring services and nothing has reported...

What else can I do?!

I have never had a problem with my Macy's card reporting and their customer service has been very good. I didnt see a reply from you when asked if you have used the card yet. They wont report until the card has usage.

Purple's explanation makes sense. My Macy*s card has been reporting faithfully to all three bureaux for nearly ten years, despite *8* years of absolutely zero usage.

As of yet I have never had a problem with Macy's not reporting and I have only encountered very friendly and helpfup customer service reps. I am sorry that has not been your experience as well.

I have been using it for 10 months. I make purchases every month and have been paying it on time each month...

The card has never reported since I got it...

Does anyone have advice on what to do now?

The situation honestly makes no sense to me. What reporting service(s) are you using? When is your bill cycle date with Macy's? Maybe when they advised they will begin reporting it will be effective as of your next bill cycle date.
