Comenity Called me!!

I have posted before about my Orbtiz Visa by Comenity and it's been at $1050 since I got the account when it was launched which was over a year ago.

I receive denial letters for CLI listing my credit score and report date used being the date the account was opened!

I have wrote before and had a guy looking at it but I gave up because he clearly didn't have the brain power to handle it!!

Well, I decided last week to try again and send off a letter.

Just received a phone call and she was super nice and was calling to ask if it was okay for them to pull credit for a "Manual Review"

I agreed and she asked if I wanted a specific amount.

I said we can say $10k but I'm hoping even by just having the review done and someone being in the account maybe it will kick it back into your computer system so it gets the regular SP updates and I can get CLI the normal Comenity way!

Not sure she will call me back so will have to check it in a day or two or wait for letter.

good luck! one time i sent them a lettter about somethjing and a really nice lady called me back and left me a voicemail saying she would handle my concern and i was super surprised by how nice and easy there were to deal with. otherwise id never expect them to call me unsoliciated! lol

Are you putting spend on the card? or is it mostly SD? That can play a role, too.

Despite Comenity's "generous" reputation I never get CLIs on my BJs card. Some of their cards they just seem very tight about. Maybe Orbitz is one of them too.

ugh...sorry to hear!! clearly an internal thing. Also...look on your reports for any SP's from Alliance Data... Thats Comentity's security branch, and I think they play a role sometimes. I have like 15 SP's from them.

I've been having the same problem with my Overstock account. Last month I requested a cli and was declined, reason, my credit score from July. This month tried again and declined, reason, same credit score from July.
It's shows which scoring model they use, which is their internal model, but my fico scores have risen since July. Don't why they won't use an updated score.
