Advice Needed - CapOne Pre-Approval tool

Hi,

Just tried Cap One pre-qualify tool and the site said I qualified for the CapOne Platinum. It also suggested I should apply for the Quicksilver One.

Any advice on whether I should go ahead and apply for the QS1? I'm interested in its cash-back benefits.

My stats:

CS: 580-614

Visa 10/11: $300 CL

Best Buy CC 02/14: $750CL

Student Loans; $90k

Auto Loan: 10k

NO missed CC payments

Couple Auto Loan payments missed

Income: $50k

Cap One pre qual site is one of the most reliable of all, however, not guaranteed that will result in an approval. Go ahead and apply if you can afford the HP. Good luck and keep us posted.

If you can wait, I suggest you wait a bit to get a decent starting limit should you get approved. Your scores are on the fair side. But you never know with Capital One.

OP, didn't you just get denied for the QS1? IMHO, you should just recon that denial, instead of applying again.

Called Capital One and talked with one of their reps. Applied and got approved for the QS1 for $3,000.
