Chase Marriott and Ritz-Carlton

Recently applied for Chase Marriott and Chase Ritz-Carlton. Was pleasantly surprised to see that was approved for both the Marriott at 7k and the Ritz-Carlton at 11k.

Now SM chase and try to ask for the 140 000 point offer on Ritz in exchange for 2 nights. You could close marriot and move over CL to Ritz... membership is same and Ritz gives more benefits.

Might as well keep both for at least year 1 at this point.

Did you have a Marriott rewards number prior to applying for the cards? If so, did you put it on both applications? It's quite possible, if not, that you can end up with 2 accounts. Just a heads up.

But definitely see if you can get the 140k offer, and maybe the 70k offer on the Marriott card.

what kind of scores do you have? I am looking to app for the Ritz at minimum early next year.

My scores are floating around 670-680 with at least 10 inquiries on each bureau, so if you're around there I'd say you'd have a decent shot as well.

well shoot, so I say I will wait until January and I just received my mail today and it has a Mariott rewards Credit card invitation with invitation number and offer code. Is this direct target to me or just anyone with a Marriott Rewards account?? I would hate to pull with Chase for no reason right now unless this is legit. I did try Chase prequal site, but nothing comes up. But that may only work with Chase branded cards?
