PC means product change. Some lenders have the ability to change the product to a different one. Some lenders also require a year to change.

Credit one, there is nothing to PC to.

As for Citi I think might need to be a year before changing? However you could always call and see if they can change it to a different product that you would want.

Citi is also pretty good with retention offers on the AA cards (except maybe Exec) and will often give some credit or waive the fee entirely (I had to make 5 purchases of any amount in 90 days or something and they would refund the fee). But the card is new (and your score low!) so YMMV.

The Credit One PC made me giggle. I dunno. I am not that ashamed of mine. If they keep being nice to me I won't be closing mine next April when the AF hits. They have refunded me every penny in fees I have ever paid in interest and start up fees. They even bought me dinner when I tried to close the card. $35 credit. So funny! That more than covered my $9.99 credit limit increase fee I paid to go from 500 to 850!

Amex has to be 13 statements old, and you do it over the phone. And that is all I know. I would like to see some type of a nifty chart that lists each bank, if they PC or not, what account requirements are, and how to do it. Any takers?

Safe to go for the Capital One Pre Qualify page -- even after getting a report in the last week ? Wouldn't that be too many hard inquiries in a short period of time?
