A few months ago I PC'd my CapOne Platinum MC, which doubtless started as something else in 2003, to a Quicksilver, and it came as World MC. The old version had 1 pct rewards, 10.9% APR and $10k limit, new one has 1.5% rewards, same APR, limit, and was the same number, with many WMC benefits including built in trip cancellation insurance that I have to pay extra for when using Delta AMEX to buy Delta tickets (if I want it).

So I would suggest jumping on the PC from QS1 to QS. They do WMC. I just got a new card, they are moving the QS MC to a more traditional raised-numbers design that looks a lot better than the screen printed numbers. New card number in this case.

In July I apped for the Venture and got that. Did not see any prequals, but with 12 years of CapOne experience, didn't make any difference. 17.9% APR, so not the best, but $30k CL.

Did I just make a mistake at all or is this a positive?

I was bored so I logged in and went into chat and asked if my QuickSilver One which has a $5000 limit currently is eligible for upgrade to Venture or QuickSilver. They came back and said I could PC to either QuickSilver or VentureOne...

They said my terms would stay the same other than no annual fee and World Mastercard benefits. So I had been comparing the products and noticed QuickSilver is Signature Visa.. so they do both (for product changes, I guess?)

Anyway.. can anyone tell me a positive or negative to me having removed the "One" from my card?

Also.. could that be ANY hint that I might be able to get approved for a Venture or QuickSilver if I applied?
