Chase consolidation HP question

The consolidation should be fairly simple and straight forward but I've called about 3 times now and no computer love and they must transfer to Lending. They advise that a HP may ensue so I have declined.

Any workaround or ideas about getting this accomplished without a HP.

I've never heard of or experienced a HP consolidation with Chase so this sounds odd to me. Been through this maybe 4 or 5 times now.

Although Im a little confused here. Are you requesting to consolidate current cards and asking for a CLI at the same time? That would make a difference. The no computer love part prompted my confusion.

I did one partial reallocation (no accounts were closed) about 8 months ago without a HP. I just called the number on the back of my CSP and the front-line CSR took care of it. The call only lasted about two minutes.

It should be straightforward, and I'm very puzzled about what you were trying to do with your computer (instead of just calling).

haha. terms defined:
Computer Love - (in this context) CSR enters reallocation amount in Computer system and returns with yay or nay

in each case they have said "the system" says to transfer to Lending and lending advises that HP maybe required. Hope this helps with the confusion.

Really? Well thats interesting. Maybe someone else can chime in with experience. Only questions I've ever been asked are how much and to which card. 😕 Hope they can help you without a HP!

I've been itching to call for consolidation but last time they wanted to transfer me to lending so I would call back. I thought it was always easy no hp required.

Has anyone seen a HP-free partial or full reallocation lately? Or is this possibly a change affecting everyone?

When I moved some of a CL 7 months ago or whatever I was transferred, it wasn't to lending but some dept. and had no issues they just had to check a few things and wasn't a HP.. Wish I could think the name of the department, but can't.
