Help! What do do?? Applied for HSBC card by mistake and gave wrong email address

OMG. I don't know what to do.

I use the HSBC preselector to see how my experian score is doing, based upon the card offer that they gave me I know if it is lower,or getting higher because AF's fluctuate and so do the types of cards.

I did that again tonight and it showed the HSBC Weekender. However, when I filled out the personal info part I just entered a generic email address based on my name because my real email address is so long and I was being lazy and wasn't going to apply for anything so it didn't really matter.

Well, I clicked next thinking I was going to the screen to see if there was an AF. But then a screen came up and said "application is in review- you will receive an e-mail with follow-up information".

I started freaking out:

1. because I didn't intend to apply BUT more importantly

2. because they won't be emailing me because they have the wrong email address. What should I do??

I never thought this would be an issue because when I did try and apply again they gave me the "too many HSBC cards" line. I don't know what I should do now!

Stop apping- ESP HSBC-

If the email address is junk- it will bounce bak to them and they will send paper-

Stay away from HSBC- you know that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No offense, but HSBC and good cl's? Lot's of people may have their cards but I don't recall anyone with a decent cl with them. At least not being reported here.

Lol, I wasn't really apping just seeing if my Ex score was getting higher without pulling a score because my balances updated today and alot of them are at o.

I just wanted to see if they would preapprove me for a card without an AF.

I'm not apping anymore...I actually don't even need anymore cc's,even though I don't have high CL's because I just don't run that much money through every month. I never buy anything I can't pay for from my checking acct because I pay in full every month and so I don't need anymore credit.

Just worried that something may happen due to fake email address because I think someone actually has it.

And when I realized I had apped I tried to register it and it said it was taken.

Arrgh.Next time I want my scores I will just pay the $15 each.

I'm on the no-app program for 2 years.

hopefully it will go into someone's spam folder, & you don't have to worry about it! you can just change your email once you get the paperwork, right?

I have a mixed feeling about HSBC but since you expressed you would like to know, I have many cards with them, more than I would like but that's for another time.

I have a Direct Merchants Bank backed by HSBC for $4500 with decent experience with it, althougha few times got into it with them over stupid stuff.

I have a Household Bank backed by HSBC for $2000 which has always been solid, been there for me as my first card after the bankruptcy but it pisses me off that they never increase the limit.

I had an Orchard which sucked with the annual fee and I closed it. $3500 when I had it.

I have a HSBC branded card with $3500 and last week they raised it to $4500 with cash back and pretty good experience with it except when they call me on every other charge to "VERIFY" which kind gets annoying after a while but generally pretty good.

I also have an HP card which is backed by HSBC for $5000 with pretty good exprience so far.

Hope that helps with the information and a few weeks back got a message which I had heard from others here "You have reached the limit of cards you can have with HSBC" bluh bluh. Anyway, cheers.

If you get really worried...just email that AOL email addy and explain, kindly, what you did and if they wouldn't mind forwarding you the response. Of course,if it's BAD news, then it's kind of embarrassing, so stay anonymous. LOL Except of course..they have you name and stuff in the reply.
