Cabela's Visa 7-10 Day?

I just applied for the Cabela's Visa and received the 7-10 day response. Is this common with this card or is it probably a denial?

I got the same msg, called and was told it was approved (and reporting on my credit reports) and already in the mail . There have been a lot of people who, upon activation, discovered their credit limit was chopped in half from what it was originally approved for, based simply on the current state of the economy.

Thanks to all of you! I just called and was told I was approved for $7000 CL. I almost dropped the phone! I was shocked. It is through WAMU though and I already have another account with them that has a perfect history. I sure hope they don't cut my limit in half when I activate the card.

Congratulations! That's a great starting limit for Cabela's. Just think about how many bottles of jerky marmalade you can get now! If they're still doing it, you get a free gift for signing up. It used to be a multi-purpose folding knife.

It is not through WAMU that I know of... It is Worlds Foremost Bank as far as my cards is concerned...

Mine is through WAMU. Apparently, they also handle some of their cards. When I called, they told me my application had been transferred to WAMU and gave me their number. It's supposed to still be a Cabela's card though.

I didn't know it either, but it does say on the application info that some cards may be issued by WAMU. I have been very happy with my other account, but since they are now Chase it makes me very nervous. My DH and I have a BK7 from 2006 that Chase was included in. I'm actually surprised that we even got approved from WAMU this time because of this. I was told by a CSR that they are still operating as WAMU for now.

I have heard of this. One of the representatives told me they pass it through World's Foremost Bank and then through another affiliate of WAMU.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: World's Foremost Bank ("WFB") will determine your eligibility for the WFB Cabela's CLUB Visa card described in the Terms and Conditions below. If you are not approved by WFB, then by submitting your application, you authorize WFB, at its sole option, to share information about you with Washington Mutual Bank ("Washington Mutual"). The information WFB may share includes your application, information used to review your credit and employment histories, and any other information used to process your application. Washington Mutual will use this information to consider your eligibility for the Washington Mutual Cabela's CLUB Visa card described in the Terms and Conditions (stated below).

I knew I had read it. That would explain why that card is BK Friendly. We have worked really hard to get our credit back in order. My scores are pretty good. I haven't made the 700 club yet, but I'm working on it.

TLM, you'll be in the 700 club before you know it. I was wishing the same thing back in mid-July with scores in the mid 600s. By 9/5, I had hit the 700 mark and didn't even know it. I'm rebuilding as you are. Just keep paying on time and you'll see it sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the encouragement! I know it's right around the corner. I am so thankful to all of you on this forum. I don't post a lot, but I am hooked on this place. I'm on here pretty much every day!
