Hello All,

I have 2 secured cards (US Bank & Union Bank - both 1 1/2 old) that I will PIF and close next month. If I call CS to close them a few days after my payment posts, will I have to wait until the next statement officially post to receive my deposit back or does that process start immediately ? I want to use the combined $600 to add to my pay off what amounts to $6,000 in credit card balances in January.

Thank You.

There's really no way to know; one might refund you the money quickly and the other might take another month. I would just call and ask them what their policies are regarding the refund of your secured amounts and closing of the cards. It's my understanding you do not wish to graduate the cards? They will still refund your money if graduation is successful. Just something to think about as poster above stated. Goodluck!
