Dumb Question Alert: DISCOVER

Um, this is probably a silly question but I honestly don't know...

How many different Discover cards are out there? I know there's the IT, Chrome and Student card, but if I look at credit card reviews, I keep seeing the DISCOVER IT card in different colors with individual ratings.

For example: Discover It with the burgundy color has several hundred ratings (this is per CK's website), Discover It in the icy blue color has several hundred separate ratings... am I missing something here or are they the same product, just different colors?

they let you choose your card color when you apply.

There's also a Miles card, but as said before, the It can be ordered in different colors and designs. If there were different reviews on a site, that's on that site for setting it up weird, I'd think.

The different colors are the same card, it's odd that there are separate reviews for the blue vs. burgundy! I have both of those colors for the same account, and there are a bunch of designs to choose from.

As far as actual different cards, it's just regular Discover It, Student, Chrome, and Miles. There are others still in circulation like the Discover More and Discover Motiva, which are no longer offered for new apps but are still around for existing accounts, but those are basically just crappier versions of the newer It cards.

definitely not a stupid q, also there are lots of card choices for iT card holders to choose from also.....

And for those with the Discover More (Less) you can PC to the IT very easily. I did so a few months ago after reading the fine print and finding out the first $3k of non-category spend gets all of 0.25% cash back. Still gets the 5% category, but one has to be quite specific to ONLY spend on the category items.

Yep, this--the Discover More's cashback is far inferior to the It. Though if you can spare the HP and hit to AAoA, I'm thinking people would be better off apping for a new Discover It before PCing the More, so that they'd be eligible for the double cashback on the It for the first year (though they might be eligible on the new card either way, not sure..)
