PlayStation credit account?

Hello everyone,

so I went to Best Buy to exchange a controller and I saw next to the expensive ps4 bundle a sign that said join the PlayStation family paying 24 dollars a month for 24 months interest free. At first I thought it was the Sony credit card by cap 1 but after going to the PlayStation website it's issued by mid America bank and trust and handling it is Santander bank. Has anyone applied for this or knew about it and what bureau they pull ?

I tried searching and came up empty.

Any thiughts ?

Must be sub-prime if it's handled by Santander. You also say that your paying $24/month for 24 months for it to be interest free? That sounds very sub prime and predatory as that's $576 over 2 years for the financing to be interest free...Just my two cents.

Oh sorry I got confused with your original statement. You meant the product is $24/month with no interest correct? I'll do some research for you also and see what I can come up with. Sorry again I was confused.

It seems like a plan similiar to the iPhone plan where you buy the Playstation with some add ons over a 24 month plan interest free. Doesn't seem like a good deal at all.

Santander is not always sub prime. They have some cards that are kind of conservative

Now, wait a minute. Santander has been great to me. I get $20/month by setting up $1500 direct deposit and doing 2 bill pays.

Just my opnion about Santander. There auto loans are atrocious and always offer people 15+% interest on them. But back to this offer, I think paying up front would be the best way to do it and you can get these bundles new for less than what this financing plan is offering. Plus this is just for one product, why not get an amazon store card and get the 6 month special financing with 0% interest? That seems much better and will cost a little more per month, but you will get a far better deal and have access to millions of other items.
