Hello friends,

How long does it take after the 3 months, 1k each month---to get the 50K points?

Editing: I talked with a rep at Citi and they said as soon as the 3k shows up, within the 3months. Hypothetically, 3k in 1 month=the next statement showing your 50K points.

or 1500 in 2 months yielding the points on the third month.

American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles typically will appear as a bonus in your AAdvantage account 8-10 weeks after you have met the purchase requirements. Balance transfers, cash advances, account fees, interest, disputed items and items returned for credit are not purchases. Miles may be earned on purchases made by primary cardmembers and authorized users. Miles earned will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage account.

I dont know who to believe!

They are sandbagging you with the fine print. It might take 8-10 weeks, if their computers blow up.

I apped on July 22, achieved the spend by the close of the September statement, September 22, and the miles posted to my AAdvantage account on September 22.

Does anyone know when the 50k offer is likely to end...and possibly return?

I'd want to milk my 2015 and 2016 PRG credits (without the risks or hassles that come with gift cards) before I get a cobranded airline card. Getting the card around March or April 2016 would be great, but I don't know how predictable Citi's promo offers are.

I am prequalified at 17.99% (a specific APR on Citi's website) rather than the range of APRs they show to the general public.

Are there any offers floating around for 50k points and a modest statement credit?

I recieved my bonus...30K miles at the time of app...the very next statement after reaching the $1K spend. I was expecting it to take the 8 - 10wks, but it didn't. I am now awaiting a 25K bonus with the Gold AA card. Will be able to pinpoint exactly how long it takes, only one charge on the card at the required spend amount. Will update.

Checked my account today & I've received the bonus miles. My new statement was generated today as well. I made the required spend on Oct. 30 and as of my original post, a couple days ago, the miles hadn't been awarded. Hope this helps!

Hubby got his AA card about Sept 30. Spent $3 within about a month, paid the statement Nov. 12th. The points showed up in his AA account yesterday. So all told about a week. It was similarly quick in the past when he had the card before.

No way to determine any promotion end date unless explicitly stated in the offer + no way to know when they return. These public offers are available periodically as well as targetted promotions to AAdvantage members alike. There is also the CitiBusiness AA Platinum Select version for business owners as well.

To my knowledge, I haven't seen the 50K + statement credit but Google, DOC or FT are your best friends.
