Thank you for the information! Does she also have the option to add additional funds to the card? A Cap One rep that I spoke to yesterday said that adding funds after accounts are opened may not be an option in the future.

Can't always believe CSRs though. Often times they are misinformed.

Congrats to your wife on her CLI & QS 1.

Hello Everyone: I just wanted to update everyone as I have seen misleading information about the Capital One Secured Card. My wife opened her account with $500.00 deposit 6 months ago. We used the card every month and paid it off before the statement sometimes and sometimes we didn't. I logged into her account today and they raised the limit to $800.00. So, $500.00 secured and $300.00 unsecured. I saw some forum members state that the only want ot raise CL on Capital One Secured is to deposit more money. That does not appear to be the case anymore. A few days ago, she applied for QuickSilver and was approved for $500.00 limit. She had nothing on her credit report 6 months ago. It was completely blank.

The option to add funds is still there when I log on. I did receive the credit limit increase after my sixth statement. Will close when annual fee comes up. Not my oldest account.

Thanks for the information!!!

One more question (not to hijack the op's thread), but do you need to be approved in order to add additional funds? According to Discover you can actually be declined to add more money. I find that crazy, especially since It's your own money.
