Subject says it all...just wondering as I am considering applying for this once the 140k bonus points hits (if it does)...I travel quite a bit as my job requires it...I have a Marriott now but I would close that if approved as the benefits are better can be redeemed for Marriott. I was approved for 80k bonus points Marriott back in August and just received an auto $1,500 CLI today...anyway enough background, just wondering if there is a minimum income requirement?

I would guess maybe 25 - 30k for minimum income.

Probably $25k or so to qualify for the $5k minimum credit line. I don't know if annual fee is an UW creteria, but my guess is not for this card?

oh, most definitely not $100k. I think you're probably fine income-wise.

Last time I read these two are interchangeable, even same membership number. You just call up to chose your "primary" rewards program.

If you decide to close your marriott card, you points will be safe as long as they have all hit your marriott rewards account. I personally recommend keeping both as they both have different uses worthy of the annual fee. The ritz card will not give you a free annual night, the marriott card will. The marriott card will also give you an elite qualifying night for every 3k spent. Ritz doesn't do that, but ritz gives you a 10% bonus on all points earned through card spend.

Maybe helpful, maybe not : http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Comprehensive-Guide-to-Marriott-Ritz-Carlton-Rewards-and-Their/td-p/4100403

I use the ritz card for the 10% bonus points. I don't care too much about the extra EQNs because of the gold status from the ritz.

Nothing is special w/regards to that with this card.

I'll +1 that.

Between my ritz and marriott signup bonuses, I got 5 nights at the JW Essex House, I got $300 in southwest gift cards, I got $300 in Delta Gift Cards. Used those towards 3 r/t tickets FLL-LGA.

I used a club level upgrade cert for my stay at the ritz pentagon city. Saved me a bit over $100 a night for a 4 night stay. That was over $400 by itself.

Used my loungeclub card to get my sister and I into the escape lounge at london stansted airport. that was $60. Used it for my sister and I at the Sky Lounge in Frankfurt airport which would have cost $75 otherwise.

The cards are truly worth it =]
Although some people would never pay for it on this card, platinum card, prestige or even the smaller CSP AF. Some people just are against AF's and this is one of the larger ones for a CC. Card isn't meant for everyone as it is a travel card and people need to understand that. When it comes back to the original questions of Income requirements I don't think one could make much use of this card say at 25k-30k annual income unless their employer reimbursed them for travel, etc.
