Forgive my newbie question, but I'm considering a combination of my two CapOne Quicksilver Cards (1500/3800)...my question is, if I combine into the oldest card will I see a dip in score from the closing of the newer one? I just want to ensure I'm doing the smart thing here...

Also, since I've been reading these forums, I've seen nothing but increases in my limits and lowered APR by following the guidelines I've read and the advice I come upon. Thank you all for your wisdom!

your scores shouldn't see an effect and also the one you close will still stay on your report around 10 years or so.
