Just curious..Has anyone received pre-approved offers lately?

I'm done looking but I noticed that I haven't received an offer in a while (other than a mountain of balance transfer checks). I know that it's a sign of the times but I wonder if anyone received any pre-approvals lately.

There was a thread like this 2 months ago. I got an AMEX Gold card offer last week in the mail. Saw a Juniper MC offer the prevoius month. But they definitely have slowed down recently.

Yep, I'm still getting them.

In the last two days I've received preapprovals for Amex Blue (even though they won't give me a CLI on my Gold Delta Skymiles @ $2K), Discover More (don't currently have a Discover card), and WaMu Cash Rewards (have WaMu Real Rewards @ $15K).

I'm not apping at the moment, so I won't be taking any of them up on it.

Edit to add: Forgot to mention that DF also got one for Discover More, and she also keeps getting one for this generic Juniper super-low APR non-rewards card.

I'll admit I didn't take the time to search the threads but given the increasing credit crunch and the tumultuous stock market, I'm curious to know if the days of pre-approvals now over.Thanks!

My wife and I still keep our shredder busy with such stuff. If anything we think the volume we get may have increased slightly in the last six months or so, but since we don't keep any statistics it's hard to be sure.

I'm not getting as many as usual, but still get a couple a week at least. Amex keeps sending me preapprovals for the gold card and I got something from Chase yesterday that I didn't pay much attention to.

Hardly anything since July. Only a pre-ap from USBank for a Plat Visa (which I almost went for, but found some will-power in the form of fear of losing my Amex Blue CL). However, just in the past few weeks, I've gotten 2 pre-aps from WAMU for a Plat MC. I already have a WAMU Plat MC with a lower APR than this offer that includes a BT deal that is NOT as good as the online offer I see when I look at my existing account online. I can't figure this out. If for some reason, I got this card, would I then just have two seperate WAMU MC's/two seperate accounts, or would accepting the new offer just change the terms on the one I already have? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I didn't think you could have two of the EXACT same card.

I used to get 1 WAMU a week. Even since the Chase takeover, I've been getting 2 offers a week!

Amex won't leave me alone. Amex Gold, Blue, Delta Skymiles, JetBlue, Amex One... but I'm not going for any of them. Not with all the insane AA going on at Amex.

Who would blame them with your scores? I'm in the dog house with AmEx so I don't expect to see any ofters from them unless it's for the Oasis program.

DH has gotten 3 offers from Cap 1 - 1 every 3 weeks so far - we did apply for one of them and said it was approved, waiting to see what we get in mail. Rebuilding score process, but they did a pull on both our CR in last month. I haven't seen anything, but scores are crap.

Once a week

Tuesday is WaMu Business day

Thurday is Captial One no hassle card day

and saturday is capital one auto loan day.

DH is getting more offers lately than ever. he has scores around 700, 3 ing in the last year. And highest cli 10k. he went for the citi diamond offer and got 12.5k starting cl. also getting offers from Discover more and amex gold every other day. even though he thinks he burned amex more than 15 years ago.
