Can I get a CSP 30 Days After Freedom?

Hey guys,

I was approved for a Freedom Signature on Halloween. I am also pre approved for the CSP. I just got an invitation by mail with a 15% APR. The only thing is it has been just over 30 days since I app'd for Freedom and I haven't used my Freedom much in the past month. Should I wait a bit longer and spend on the Freedom or just go for it. Is there a 30 day rule or is it maybe best to give it longer than even a month? This was my 3rd card in 2 years.

Such enablers

As far as I knew- biz or personal, u can only get approved for two cards in thirty days. You can apply for as many as u wish, but limit is two last I checked

I was approved for both within 3 weeks of each other, although I did CSP first. You should be fine.

I'm not quite sure from the link that I added to my previous post, but it could be that you can not get approved for a card if a prior application is in the verification process.

I got approved for the Freedom and CSP in the same hour.

Nope. All depends on your credit profile and the 5/24 guideline. I got 2 of my Chase cards within a day of each other. As for what's "best" we have no idea what your credit profile is like nor the specifics off the underwriting critiera for the CSP. What do you expect to improve in the next 30 days?

I got my Freedom, CSP within a week of each other and my Ritz within 30 days of the other two.

What is the 5/24 guideline? Does that mean you can only apply for 5 cards within 24 months?

Yes.. This only includes CSP/Freeom though as Co-Branded cards are not included in this rule... Slate is debateable, but who really wants the slate anyways .

Thanks! I just applied for the Southwest and United cc and got approved within 3 days of the apps. I then applied for the Marriot and got instant denial due to too many new apps/accounts. Thought maybe I need to wait 30 days

Thanks guys! I was approved for the CSP! Now, I would the SL to be slightly increased and it does say if more SL is needed to contact them. Is this even worth it? Will it be another HP? Has anyone tried it before?

Congrats! It will be another HP. I asked the same on my Freedom the day it was approved and they said another HP.

Up to you if you want to try, but if you're new to Chase I wouldn't push luck right away. Give it six months and then try.
