Discover increase question...

I opened a Discover back on September 23rd. What will happen if I try for a Increase... Score has gone up and some baddies removed since approved...

I know, I hear 91 days etc... Was just curious?

Also how long do you have to wait to call Barclays for a soft apr/increase request /offer?

Discover can be whenever, so I'd try them now. It's a SP also so no harm if not approved.

Barclays likes six months of history before giving out CLIs and I've heard six months between CLI as well, but they've been known to deviate from that. If it's a SP then you have, again, nothing to lose. Keep in mind that Barclays will only SP with the APR reduction method, the LUV button online is HP.

well the discover won't typically allow you to request a CLI if the account is under 91 days. if the option isn't there online then they won't do it. tried it many times. also barclay increased my on the phone 4 months in

The luv button is there on Discover under services... I just hope it would be a new/current soft pull....

Oh, OK then should I wait? It showing last month's score 618... So I should wait to the new one comes out? I thought they just pulled a fresh one, At the time of request.

+1.... I couldn't get them to budge, even at ~120 days. Then I logged on yesterday and they updated my free FICO score from 650's to 697 and voila... $4k CLI!

I got mine after my 3rd statement.......

If you think your score is higher now - wait for the next free Fico to update and go for it.
