Both my chase cards and other revolving cards are empty now. I took 18 mo balance transfer offers on both cards. Discover is at 3.99 and Barclays is at 0% for 18 mo. Hated to have to go this route now that I finally reached the 700's all the way around, but my Chase cards were about to skyrocket from 0% to 22%!!! Oh well, it is what it is..... I was planning to pay quickly, but I won't lose too much sleep or work too many extra hours to pay down the Barclays. I will probably utilize most of that 18 months. It's a rewards card so it has that stingy 24% interest on purchases, so I only use it for BT.

i called Barclays and told them what I wanted to do, hoping to avoid AA. I have scheduled out 6 months of payments to them now. I am making a solid payment, more then triple the minimum payment every two weeks. I may cut that back a little in 6 or 9 months, but not until I am down to about 40% util.

Ouuuch, you will get a huge hit when they report the balance! I hope Barclays does not come to bite you ( they are very well known doing it) Discover, I think you will be safe !
