I am SURE hoping so... Showed up Dec 16th of last year.. Was approved last month and would LOVE for the offer to show back up so they will honor it for me.. Hang tight as I believe it will be back around this year around that time!

A week ago I would have been very hopeful that we would. Now... I wish it won't. Now that I have decided to get rid of some cards, especially those with high AF, I'd rather not have the temptation of another high AF card that wouldn't do me much good beyond the 140k points, and the solid metal nature of the card. haha

Yes if you fall within 3 months you are usually good to be honored. Nothing is guaranteed though.. This is assuming the offer does come back, but me thinks it will probably be 4k spend vs 3k spend though as well.

Because if you travel, its a very good card. It has a lot of benefits that makes it a much sought after card. Add on the bonus programs they offer like this 140K points and its a fantastic card for those who travel. Maybe it doesnt suit your lifestyle but it certainly does for others.

For the 140k bonus points? After $300 back annual travel credit it's $95 bucks. Or since its Dec you can get $600 travel credit....

The benefits of this card are immense, you just need to know how to use them. and with the 140k offer you're pretty much set for a nice vacation. The only signup bonus that rival it is the amex plat 100k offer in my opinion.

After having chase ritz visa for a year I can definitely
Say it worth then annual fee. I got 2 free nights, used the 300 dollar credit, Jpm is great to deal to with for ritz card holders and the card is beautiful. Like others said, if you travel it's a great card. It's almost mean if chase doesn't offer that bonus because so many people are hyped about it, in FICO land at least lol.

This is one card that is worth the AF for benefits alone each year... 300 Travel credit, primary rental car insurance, etc.. If you don't do any traveling then the card isn't for you, for those that do then it easily pays for itself.

This card is most beneficial for the traveler who lodges at Ritz-Carlton and Marriott hotels. In addition to racking up points, travel reimbursements, saving valuable time by having concierge reserve highly crowded restaurants on weekends (time is money!), I have also gotten upgrades to big suites with ocean front views on the club level of the Ritz-Carlton and received lovely gifts from the concierge staff. One time, I also was able to check in super early and check out really late. It's one of my favorite cards.

This card maybe on more people's radar now that Marriott is buying Starwood.

I'd love to have this card for the Marriott gold staus and free breakfasts. but it is tough to justify a third high fee card after Amex Plat and United Club.

@TitaniumCash are the upgrades/benefits on paid stays only?

I seem to recall that Marriott isn't as generous with benefits to non-rack rate stays? I've stayed on corp discounted rates and have gotten friends and family rates. so a $100 for a $350 room is great but it would be great if it came with upgrades and breakfast.

All marriott elite benefits are available with the MMF rate (marriott friends and family). So if you're a gold elite (or platinum elite) that means free breakfast (not at resorts, Autograph Collection, JW, Marriott, and Rennaissance properties only (fairfield, springhill, towneplace, and residence inn all include breakfast already), free top tier internet, room upgrades, and the likes. These benefits apply on award stays as well.

Ritz Carlton Club Level upgrades, as well as the $100 hotel credit on stays of 2 nights or more are usable only on PAID stays using either the Z38 or Z34 code respectively. (Note, club level upgrade rate for a stay of 2+ days automatically includes the $100 hotel credit). This rate will usually be the standard rate for the room, depending on the hotel it can be really expensive, or really cheap. A rstandard oom at the ritz central park may be $700, which you'd have to pay for a club level upgrade certificate, however, a club level room will likely be between $1100-$1600 a night. This certificate offers significant discounts. A standard room at the ritz carlton atlanta, or ft lauderdale, Tyson's corner, Washington DC,or Pentagon City, can be had as low as $160-$200/night. Club level rooms usually selling for between $100 and $200 more. So those hotels can also offer significant value, as well as a nice stay at a more modestly priced ritz carlton with all the benefits.

Status based upgrades to preferred rooms or suites at marriott hotels are based on each individuals hotels policies. (Note: status based Suite upgrades are not available at the ritz carlton per the T&Cs but a hotel may choose to do otherwise).

When in germany I was upgraded from a standard room to a grand executive suite at my hotel. I almost always receive a room on a high floor (which I request), and almost always receive a corner room.

Well, JPM is extremely finicky with the travel credit reimbursements, and when you have status on airlines, you don't have that many travel expenses to get reimbursed for. Unless you stay in Ritz a lot (even then cards like Citi Prestige have better benefits), I really don't see the point of this card beyond perhaps getting the 140k for $395.
