Since Circuit City is shutting down what other signature card should i get from Chase?

circuit city is shutting down every store here in atlanta. i will have little or no use for keeping this circuit city rewards visa. so i am trying to figure out what card should i get. i do not want the disney card because that would be a little embarassing for a grown man to pull out a mickey mouse card(even though i like going to california adventures when i visit l.a.). so does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow, I was wondering about that, too!

Can I merge my CircuitCity Chase Card with my Chase Freedom?

That's gonna add up my CLs, right?

Or can I change it into another card? Disney Card sounds just awesome

Your CIRCUIT CITY cards should be good. Remember, unless CIRCUIT CITY drops Chase they CIRCUIT CITY is just closing 155 stores nationwide. Of the remaining ones open, which is still many, they will be operating business as usual. You should have the option of using your CIRCUITY CITY CREDIT CARD there.

Well, that may be so... But some of us prefer not to buy electronics online or travel 100 miles to the next closest store that is still open.

And if you are going to buy electronics online... there are definitely better places to do it than Circuit City. As they're ceasing trading in your area altogether, it would definitely make sense to switch to another card - sure, the Visa will "work" anywhere, but why keep it when you could switch to a card you might have more use for? My husband has a Circuit City Visa - he got it years ago when buying a PC there. He rarely uses it anyway, the rewards are useless to people who don't actually like/want to shop at CC much... I see no reason not to ask Chase for a product change!

It's been a long time since I've bought anything at Circuit City. To give an example how long it's been, I last bought a VCR there.

"Circuit City said its warranty and service plans sold by the company, as well as its co-branded credit cards, will not be impacted by the company's Chapter 11 filing."

I believe there is a member out there who switched their Circuit City Chase card to a Chase Freedom.
