Thanks. Got the my ups and fedex equivalent. Approved on Dec 29. I'm wondering if I'll have the card this week. Need to pay air upgrades by 10th.

I would think you would get it latter part of the week. 'Should' be there in time

I've been trying to use the ritz site to check if I have an ID. I click on I forgot my pasword/ID and put in my name/email etc but it still doesn't show me in their system. Maybe that's not the right route.

I might try to call Ritz at some point, maybe Tuesday.

Try to find out if you have an account with Marriott Rewards and if it shows you with Gold membership, then everything is fine.

If you DID NOT have a marriott or ritz carlton rewards account prior to opening a marriott or ritz carlton rewards credit card, you would go to the marriott rewards website (via this link <https://www.marriott.com/rewards/createAccount/activateAccountChallenge.mi>) and use the number listed on the back of your credit card (Which is now your rewards account number) to create an online access account and have it linked to your marriott rewards account.

You can't do this until you have the card in hand, as it is what holds the information necessary.

Also, keep in mind if your AF posted on 1/1 (based on your Dec approval), the same would apply for next year. So, if you plan on cancelling the card before the AF posts, you will not be able to take the $300 travel credit for the 2017 calendar year, only this year.

ETA: unless you're able to convince them to waive the AF next year (doubtful) or you employ the services of jsucool76 to learn other "tricks"

You have 60 days to cancel after your 2nd AF posts.

I'm so upset at the snail pace of ritz card fulfillment. Fine they didn't come through to allow me 2015 airline redemption but I have legit air fee spend prob $700+ That I'll need to pay out of pocket if I don't get the card this week.

You should get it this week. Do you have any other chase cards, or bank with them? If so log into your chase account and see if the Ritz account populated there yet. If not, just refresh your ups mychoice account every 15 minutes xD.

Don't be afraid to call up and bother them about it. It'll make you feel better.

It is overnigted if they said they are rushing it out you should see it tomorrow hopefully as you called in early enough in the day it appears. I agree they ,definetly go at a snails pace for most on getting this card to someone and give you less time to meet spend. As others have told me though this card is primarly meant for people that probably don't blink an eye at spending say 4k+ in a month thus the no rush part of it, just speculation.

i need to make a $2k payment today so it'll have to go on the united club.

but i MUST have it by the weekend. have a bunch of air upgrades to pay for next week's travel. it would SUCK having to eat that cost given the $300 credit is there.

(it's bad enough i missed the 2015 credit)
