Applied for Costco Amex Biz Card.

I could not keep my fingers quite. I applied for Costco Amex Biz Card. I got the app status pending. Oh well, let me wait and see what the outcome is.

No. Not yet. I am still waiting to hear from them. One thing surprised me is, when I check the online app status, this app does not list there yet. I wonder if it is handled by a different group at Amex as Costco is very large partner for them.

Any way, on the Costco app it said, if I goto to store and have the picture taken with in 3 days of the App then it would be on the Card. So I went to the store and asked them to take the picture. I also have Costco Biz Card from HSBC with $5K CL. I wonder if that would help any in the decision making by Amex.

Keeping the fingers crossed and waiting for the out come. From the looks of it, terms are very good. No AF. Generous cash back. Let us see what next few days brings to this application.

Yeah, I have heard that approval for this card takes a bit longer because they get Costco to help determine your initial CL, which will be at least partially based on your historical Costco spending patterns.

As per Costco historical data, I have been member for only 2 months. I did get $5K from HSBC for Costco Biz Credit. Hope it helps. Any way let us wait and see what the outcome is going to be.

Do you think my Opima Oasis card would be a problem when I am trying to the Costco Amex Biz card? I know few people got denials stating Active Recovery Product. But again it is almost a year since I got my Oasis Card. I think I got it last December. I am anxious to see what is the outcome of the Costco Amex Biz App.

I just applied for the Costco AMEX True Earnings card and got the message "if you qualify you will receive your card in 10 days"

Do you think this is good or bad?

I think that's neither a good nor a bad sign. As others mentioned, Amex checks your buying history with Costco before they make a decision. This takes a while.

You might want to go to near by store and ask them to take you picture. It says if you goto store and have the picture taken with 3 days of the application, then picture would include in the card. I went and asked them to take the picture yesterday.

By the way, if you are already a Costco member and you have a membership card, they will just use the photograph Costco has on file from your membership card, without any need to go and get another pic taken.

Its been 10 days, no card ...but no letter either?!!?! I guess I should assume it was denied?
