Question about Discover It Referrals

I referred my SO to apply for Discover It through email on Dec. 31st. She got approved and the card is on the way, but I haven't gotten an email indicating I'll get cashback for the referral. Then I noticed this in the terms:

"You will receive a $50 Cashback Bonus referral reward if your friend applies for the specific offer you send via the link provided and is approved by December 31, 2015."

Now I'm concerned that since it happened on the 31st I won't be getting the referral, which seems more likely since I haven't gotten an email and my referral status page doesn't indicate it as a conversion. Secondly I'm wondering about the 2015 constraint. Is referring no longer a thing as of 2016 or did they just not update the terms? Thanks.

Hmm, I see that the public page for "Share Discover" refers to March 14th as the deadline date. However if I view the terms from my Share Discover link to track progress it is as noted above.

Most likely just a website updating error with the New Year. I'd wait to see if you receive the bonus on your next statement before contacting Discover, who I am sure will honor your referral bonus.

I received mine the day my referred person activated the card. It posted immediately, I was shocked.

Thanks to both of you. I'm hopeful it's just lagging a bit. I was concerned because when I used my friend's link to apply, he got the email before I got the card. Also for a previous referral I made, I got the email prior to the card arriving. Since it can happen upon activation, I'm not too worried about it now but I'll contact Discover if it doesn't happen.

MY DW chatted online with them and they said it would be added to hers and my account in the next two billing cycles and I think it was added in 1 cycle.

It works with Secured cards also since hers is a secured card.
