Lol, i mean my income isn't baller status, but yes nor the CL, as well. There are higher.. we are but a small populace that's represented on credit forums.

I want direct deposit BT options and better offers such as 0% for 12 months etc. Sometimes I think they look at the high limit and it raises the risk profile, in certain situations.

0% purchase offer? Did you call them? I called in September looking for an APR reduction, and got a 0% on purchases offer. They didn't get it completely set up though, so I had to call in November to get it really in place.

It could very well be that your high limit has an impact on the offers. Mine is only $8k now, plenty for what I use it for, which was up to about $4k on some purchases and synchronous 0% BT in September.

It would be an interesting data point if you called them to ask about whether you can get the 0% on purchases.

That might have been me - my last CLI took me from $32k to $38k. I've decided that was good enough for me, so I'm not planning on requesting further CLIs.

Has anyone here, especially the high rollers in this thread ever had Discover balk and request income verification/financial records when asking for CLI at such high limits?

I'm at 26.8k and almost due for my 90 day luv button push, but don't want to get any questions asked.

Crazy to think it started at $2k just 24 months ago.

Called the other day looking for a general APR reduction. My last APR reduction was like 5 months ago they dropped it 1%. I'm at 16ish right now. No reduction but made an offer to 3.90% variable with prime for the next 12. I did accept the offer.

I assumed that employment/income verification would happen after I hit $20k, then $25k, but Discover hasn't yet asked for either.

That might have been me - my last CLI took me from $32k to $38k. I've decided that was good enough for me, so I'm not planning on requesting further CLIs.

Well mostly, I just hit the luv button every 90 days since Jan last year lol. And not sure if you were a part of it, but there was a 'Discover Gravy Train' going around for a few months around last summer and all of us kept getting increases in short amounts of time without having to wait 90 days in between. I was in the thick of that I got like 5 increases in a few months, each 2.5k. More recently (since like October), Discover has been giving me 6K increases for some reason.

Discover is definitely my favorite card and I used to put ALL my purchases onto it, but that was only maybe from the time I got it in May 2014 through May 2015. I never ran more than like 2000 dollars through it in a statement period. After joining MyFico in Jan 2015, i learned a bajillion things and moved my focus toward maximizing rewards and that improved my credit score since I became so conscious of everything fico-related. I think the increase in my score looked good to Discover and that's why they keep raising my limit. I haven't pushed the luv button in a few months now. Maybe I'll do it for fun and see what happens.

Between my 2 Discover my CL is $50.2k not sure if Discover counts that towards a single overall limit or not, but they had me call in the last time I asked for and increase and asked if I wanted to move my limits around. Said no and they gave me the CLI anyways.
