The offer I was able to get was the annual fee waved for the first year on the club card.

Apparently I'm not targeted as I can only get a link for a $100 credit. Oh well, while this card is something on my list, it will have to wait.

Might do that but Im not sure I would even apply as the Hyatt is next on my list for Chase cards as I need fit or my Australian trip at end of year. I was flying United a lot from Dulles to Vegas but lately have using AA out of Reagan and there I get in the Admiral Club in DC and Centurion in Vegas. I actually havent been in a United Club so not sure how they compare.

If you were able to get the offer I would say apply. The Hyatt is going to have a better value especially seeing that you have a vacation planned for the end of the year. As far as the United club lounge there is no comparison to the Admiral club. The one in Atlanta the elevators broke and they don't even have a liquor license yet. The United club lounge in Houston it's not bad but the one in Chicago that's the one you need to go visit.

Got a mailer in my mailbox on Tuesday for a 50,000 sign up bonus with no AF for a year and applied. Got the 7-10 day message. Called recon 2 days later, they verified a few questions about my existing Chase accounts, and then was approved for 5k.

Edit: Whoops, this post is for the Club Card. My bad. Damn beers.

When I opened the link, I got the explorer card 50k bonus link. At the bottom, you can see links to the other United cards. Clicking on the club card link got me the AF waiver offer.
