I just got one with no hard pull and no soft either, since I backdoored all of my reports today checking to see who's been checking on me.

Thanks. I am gona try for a CLI. Haven't used the card for past 3-4 months except for small charges...

I haven't used mine hardly any. I didn't really want to call, but made my rounds today and included them since it had been 7 months.

cool, just called the automated number for the CLI. No increase given. Then it said that human representative also use the same tool as it did and they will not be able to do anything either.

Anyway, I was not betting anything on this. My last statement from Cap1 was in july, so they are not too happy the way i use the card.

Maybe use it for a couple of months and try again. I spent 10 on my last statement. It has been in the SD for a few months prior. No rewards, so it doesn't see much action.

Yeah I have set couple of recurring payments for servies that I use on capital one. After 4k Wamu and 2.6k Chasefreedom I have stoped using 750CL capone with no rewards...

Did it cost you a hard inq? Just tried it as well and got the same response. Now I'm thinking it cost by a hard. Bah!

i got my last two clis by calling backdoor number and talking to live rep. No hard either time.

Capital One has never harded me for a CLI or combining accounts.

When I was talking to the CSR via the backdoor number once she mentioned that she used a soft pull to view my credit report. She said they soft all 3 CRs, fwiw.

From reading this thread, I decided to call and try for myself on my Capital One Platinum. They asked me a few questions about other cards I carried and gave me a $500 CLI to $2000. Still pretty low but it's encouraging! He didn't say whether it was a soft/hard pull but it was instantaneous so I'm not sure if that means anything.
