CLI before combined or combined then CLI???

What does make more sense and what should I do?

I have 3 Capital one, and all 3 are elligible to combined together. Also my 6months are up for another CLI for all 3 cards. Here is my question

Do I hit the "LOVE" button on all 3 of my cap 1 card to request for CLI first before combined?

Combined all 3 of the cards then hit the "LOVE" button on the card i kept....would this will get me a higher limit?

Yes hit the luv button before you consolidate. Account combination with Capital One is considered a CLI.

It really doesn't matter. CLI's are based on what one qualifies for and credit profile and income are the primary considerations. Combining doesn't change overall revolving utilization, probably has little impact on your credit profile (revolving utilization is the major impact due to closure -- see also the Closing Credit Cards thread linked in the helpful threads sticky) and isn't going to change how much credit a given creditor is willing to extend to you.

In other words, you're not going to magically get much higher limits one way versus the other. There may be some impact but it won't be significant. Further, we don't know the details regarding underwriting requirements for Capital One or what the relative impacts would be as far as their assessment would be.

One last question:

Would CLI effect or affect getting mortage? I am in the process of getting mortage and just curious if it a good ideas to hit the LOV button now or wait till i close the mortage.

I would hit the love button on all 3 first. Cap 1 usually has a soft pull for CLI therefore hit the love button and then combine cards. Keep in mind your age of accounts when combining accounts. Also consider keeping cards with no annual fees. Cap 1 is known for annual fee cards.
