Anxious / Excited about my credit steps coming up!

I called to verify when I should get my credit steps CLI (I deleted the original email)

Fifth statement cuts in three days!

I've been running EVERYTHING through my Capital One cards (poor debit card doesn't see any action anymore lol) .. Made over $1000 in payments this billing cycle alone, the minimum was only $29 when last statement cut. I hope they look at the fact that I always PIF or pay several hundreds at a time to give me a larger than the typical $500 increase! Fingers crossed!

Good luck! My 1st was $300-$750 and then $750-$1500. I also put a ton of spend on mine. I'm due for my next credit line increase two and they still haven't given it to me. I'm hoping to at least get to $3000 on both of my Quicksilvers.

Good luck. Mine started at 1500 and I was supposed to get another 500 or 1000 I think through credit steps.
They increased me to 5000!
My SO on the other hand, who has awful credit (in the mid 500s) started at 300 and is still at 300! Never got the credit steps.

mine was at $3,000 and went to $3,500 then to $3,900

and another from $500 to $2,000 in credit steps

Which card is it Plat or QS1? In either case you should call immediately and request a CLI prior to getting your auto one. That way you can squeze 2 CLI's out of the STEPS. If it's the Plat you should also call for a PC to the QS (which you could have done much earlier around the 2nd statement) and get it out of sub-prime status ASAP.

I did I have the mutant Quicksilver MasterCard, PC'd after second statement and CLI after third. Also have a QS One that they refuse to PC but I plan to combine the two next month.

My statement cut on the 9th and I'm still not seeing an increase.

The rep I spoke with said my account was set to get the credit steps increase after 5 statements with no late payments. The 9th made my 5th statement, but I paid the entire balance before the statement cut, so I wonder if it's not being triggered by a payment since I can't make one being that the balance is PIF?

Ahhh, Have you been proactive in seeking a CLI or are you simply waiting for your auto increase?

These cards in the STEPS program are set up to give the auto increase at the 6mth statement BUT you can actually squeeze 2 out of them by actively addressing the issue. Call or chat with them today.

You alone are your best advocate and in this situation you need to take your credit future in your own hands. YOU must act on your behalf because it's your credit freedom and future you are concerned with. They are not at all interested in your success and will not go above and beyond what they offer initially.

Now go get after it!!!

When was your card opened? You might be expecting it a little early, not sure.

My credit steps increase was at 6 months (back in December, opened in June). I also thought it was 5 on-time payments, so that would mean 6 statements would need to cut. I might be wrong in that wording though.

I hope they're good to you. When I was in credit steps I received a $1k bump after second statement cut and hitting the luv button. My actual steps increase was only $500 after the 6th statement cut...and that's after I had put a ton of usage on the card. Didn't really understand it...but it wasn't long after that I was approved for my VentureOne cards and then regular Venture after that. Good luck to you...

Ahhhhh, you already received your 1st one and you're waiting for your STEPS AUTO CLI!!!

If I miss understood that I'm sorry. Your STEPS one should be $500 as that seems to be the standard no matter how much the early one was.
