    <description>&lt;P&gt;No, the APR is not locked on a closed account.&amp;nbsp; The &lt;EM&gt;terms&lt;/EM&gt; are locked, but I'm sure the terms included a provision for raising the APR to the default rate if you missed a payment.&amp;nbsp; They all do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just moved and don't have immediate access to my cardholder information, but I missed a payment on an CC account (AMEX) that has been closed since last December. And AMEX raised my APR to the default rate!!! Now I'm entirely sure, but I thought that the APR was locked on a closed account. Does anyone know the facts about this for AMEX?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
