It cuts the reward amount in half, but the points rollover and don't expire. For an occassional shopper (or pehaps for one that doesn't always purchase in multiples of $100), I think it's a good trade-off.

No wonder Synchrony is been super aggressive in trying to encourage i app for JC Penney.

Fact is i would have already but the Ebates Visa card helps out a lot in shopping online or in-store there.

Still a pretty good offer for ya

Closed pennys card. Much better cash back cards I use instead. Just my 2 cents.

That's actually pretty good... it comes out to effectively 5% off once you spend $200. (I realize it's technically not '5% off' since you have to use the reward toward a future purchase, but for a regular customer this is a technicality).

It's actually exactly twice as generous as the "Belk Rewards" program that Belk runs on their card. I actually do better at Belk with my BCP (3%) than I do with Belk's own card (2.5%). Hopefully this will motivate Belk to improve their program.
