6 months of Amazon!!!!! yes!!! My Discover is under double the cash back through the end of the year. I spend 2-3k a month on Amazon. Cash back here I come.

Wish Amazon was only a single quarter (ideally Q4 for holiday shopping) to be honest.

I still have tons of Amazon GC balance stocked up from last Q3/Q4 from Discover + Freedom's 10x.

I am looking forward to restaurants in Q2 though! If Amazon in Q3 was also replaced with restaurants, I'd be pretty damn happy.

Dumb question. Does this mean you will get 10% cash back for using Amazon during your first year? I just got the card and haven't really used it much. I use the Amazon store card now for the 5% back.

The cash back rate remains the same. Basically whatever you earn during the 12mo of the promotion will be met at the end or "doubled". It applies to all cash back, promos, retention offers, bonus categories, discover deals, ect.....

Yes. All cashback rewards are doubled so basically anything that's 5% will be doubled to 10%.

Not that exciting.. Pretty much the same as last year.. I miss the 2013 Q 4 when all online shopping qualifies for 5% cash back

Yes.

I PC'd my Chrome to the regular IT so I will be able to take advantage of the categories. The double cashback offer will still be available to me as well along with my 0% APR.

I might be in the minority, but I really like having a card for 5% off Amazon for half of the year!

My anniversary is the end of July, so my double cash will be ending soon. I made good use of it back in December, though...

I am in the same boat as you. With 10% back for half a year and free 2 day shipping from Prime, why buy anywhere else? LOL

My double cash back ends at the beginning of July. That being said this is essentially the same as my Sallie Mae (I generally don't spend more than $750/month) and I already have a decent amount gc credit from the freedom and discover last quarter (my wife and I both have these cards). May get a little use at home improvement but I also have a lowes card so maybe little use until 2017. Oh well it's been a fun ride double cash back.

Nice! Thaanks OP. I'm with you, too UncleB. I shop at Amazon a lot so I find this super helpful. I still have some gift card balance from Decembers promo but it should be gone by then.

Does anyone know when 2x cashback ends if you were grandfathered in? I got my card in April but I got in on the deal in June I think. Does it end on anniversery date even if my anniversery is before the promo even existed?
