Chase timeframe to get 2 cards with one HP

In the past I have received 2 chase cards in the same day and they only pulled credit once. I was approved for SW card earlier today and considering a second card but not gonna pull the trigger tonight. If it's not done the same day do they generally pull again or is there a grace period of some sort that we know of. Thanks

As you know, there are no guarantees - YEMV. Typically, the consensus has shown (not a hard and fast rule) that if you apply within the same day (or usually simultaneously) it can yield 1 HP. Anything beyond that can result in 2.

I've done two apps 1 week apart with only 1 HP.

I think 12njoy was able to get away with apps more than 2 weeks apart.

Of course YMMV.

I wonder if anyone has ever apped with chase, got denied, then apped for an easier card, got approved and ended up with only one HP. I could see that happening where someone gets denied a CSP but can get approved for the freedom.

You might be able to do something in branch especially if you don't have a checking account with them. It's a gamble and waiting game. sometimes when you apply on a Thursday or Friday you think you're golden and then you are slammed with an extra pull a week later when you thought you only had one

I app'd for RC one evening and app'd for the Hyatt the next day late morning/early afternoon. 1HP YMMV

its best to app during the week like a monday or a tuesday morning, that way there are no risks of date changes by applying late at night.

but i have had a recent issue with chase, make sure u get an email confirming both apps.. if u do them too closely sometimes it wont acknowledge the 2nd app, best to use a different browser. this is a recent development, it never did this until this last month. 3 different people I was able to get them AARP but their IHG or Hyatt app did not go through, and out of those 3 sets, 2 of them did not receieve confirmation of the application by email, and when checking for app status it never said 2 apps. but out of all 3 sets they all said 30 days when checking app status automated line, and all cards came in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the data points everyone. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on RC tonight (SW was approved Sunday evening). If it's another HP it's not the end of the world but I'll let ya know what the outcome is if I do.

I really just want the RC card for the signing bonus and Gold status (club upgrades and $100 credit would be nice too) but I keep going back and forth if I want to divert $10k in spend to this card just to get after year one, I mean outside actual RC or Marriott spend (only around $1k probably) I can get way more value elsewhere. Hmmm

I've been using it for restaurants (2x) and throwing the odd insurance or utility payment in it (1x). I think between the sign up bonus spending and that, I'll be close to 10k. Be sure to update with your results.

Yeah I could put some power bills etc thru it the only problem is that even the categories that I don't get any bonus points on all 3 of ur/mr/SPG points are worth way more than a Marriott point...just gotta tell myself it's for gold, that's worth a couple hundred dollars in free breakfasts alone
