Discover off-cycle reporting request. Can it really be this easy?

So, this month I had what I thought would be a double-good whammy regarding my Discover card. I paid off my remaining $1100 balance, and also got a slight increase on credit limit. I was thinking that would equal a bit of a bump in FICO. Statement cut, report date came and went, no update to my reports. Hmmm.. Got to searching the net via Google and discovered (no pun intended) that Discover apprently skips a reporting cycle after giving a CLI. Reading furhter, people had stated to call in and request an off-cycle report. I decided to do chat via my online account as I am deaf and calling is not always a great option. Chat rep asked my name which I have, then asked what I needed assistance with. I told her that I wanted to request an off-cycle report to the credit bureaus., a minute later she repsonded that she submitted everything and it would be 2-3 business days until I saw the update. Is it really that easy? LOL

Sounds like it might have been! Now jus check in a couple days to see the results.

Yes, it indeed was that easy. Woke up this morning and found they already updated everything.
