Amex CLI over 25k

Hello,

This month I asked for a CLI from $13,200 to $24,900 and was approved

From what I understand from now on they might ask me for verification of income next time I ask for CLI

I wanted to know from other people with experience with this what CLI limit could you get if my income is about $130,000 / year ?

If they ask for verification over $25k why would you be unwilling to provide it unless you're falsifying your income?

Often times once your 4506-t is reviewed and approved then Amex can be very generous.

What's the max limit Amex will go DTI? My DW would like to get hers higher. We would have a problem sending in the 4506-t form.

I didn't say I won't send the forms, I just asked how much they could give me with that income

Next time I asked for a CLI I will send them the documents signed

Best way to find out is to ask for 3X the $24,900, let them request the 4506-T form, then they will either grant the $74,000 CL, or counter with something a bit less. Then you will know.

If they give you the full amount you asked for, then after another 6 months, ask for a $100k CL and see what they say.

Congrats on your CLI. The key word is "might," but you won't know for sure unless you try. My DH received a CLI on his Blue Sky that put him at $35,000 and Amex didn't ask for income verification. He also has a BCE with a $12,000 limit. So his total exposure is $47,000 without any verification of income. His income is higher than yours, but he also has 800+ scores across all three.

When it's time for your next CLI, ask for the 3x. If they want to verify income, cancel the request and submit it again for a lesser amount. You may be able to get above $25k, but it might take a few guesses at what limit they will give you without income verification. Good luck!!

No one knows this answer.. OP I make similar to you and have 48k with credit with Amex on revolvers without being asked for a 4506-t yet. It really varies on so many factors only Amex know them. Some people get hit up at 10-15k some get asked at 25k and well some like me haven't been asked yet. Based off your history with amex, credit profile, usage patterns and so many other factors we won't ever know. Just be prepared to show it and supply it or the worse that can happen is they won't give you the increase or approve you for more credit in the future until provided.

So far I have $30K on my Amex BCE, but I havent asked for any more (I'm planning to apply for more amex cards soon, though).

My income is now $61K.

My % of income in unsecured credit with Amex is roughly 45% and I'm over 25k with no 4506-t FWIW.

I will update in beginning of September when I try my next CLI

Will think about if asking 3x CLI or ask for lower
