NFCU Req.

I wanted to get in with NFCU but I'm not sure I qualify, my sister in-law is a second lieutenant in the army currently stationed in Washington, anyone know if this would qualify?

Absolutely!! Have your spouse join first because they are qualified thru their sister being active duty. Then have your spouse sponsor you. Easy peasy!!

ETA: If it's not TOO much trouble you can have the sister n law join first,sponsor your spouse then your spouse sponsor you. However, it is not a requirement that your sister n law join.

If she is stationed at Fort Lewis there is a NFCU in Tacoma.... Very easy

Sorry guys I mis wrote that, it's my brothers wife so first would I have to have her join? Or would this not qualify? I want to know everything in detail before I ask her.

Have her join first. She sponsors your brother. Your brother sponsors you.

Eligibility info is on NFCU's site but if you want to verify then call NFCU to confirm. They're happy to discuss such topics. I just recently called to talk to them about a question about my situation.

Technically she doesn't need to join for your brother to qualify but if you read through prior threads the eligibility audits that can pop up down the road can be a mess and a real hassle. It seems to be much cleaner and clear cut to prove your eligbility if she is a member first and then your brother as well.
