Now that Amazon has combined Prime and Prime Fresh (grocery delivery site) you can pay with Amazon Prime Store Card and get the 5% back!!!

ah thats good never knew about amazonfresh. they dont really advertise all their services had to search for it.

Looks like fresh is 300 bucks a year. That's a lot of money, although I guess you're paying for convenience

Prime is $99, so Fresh is really just $200 more... Yes, still a lot but when you think about I can check out an entire grocery order in under 5 minutes usually... maybe 15 if really doing some meal prep and what not vs. getting in my car spending 15 minutes to drive to grocery, walk the isles, buy things I didn't know I needed, stand in line, either bring bags or pay for bags, drive 15 minutes home, carry groceries from garage to apartment.... WAY WORTH $200!!

I placed an order last night just before 10PM and I had an option for them to be at my doorstep before 7AM!

5% back for some groceries? Shopping in my pjs? Or more so, shopping on my lunch break when I'm doing a 6 day straight week IS helpful. Groceries when I get home. Super time saver.

I personally would probably save $200 in 2 months by only buying what we need versus all the random things we see while browsing the aisles. Plus the time and effort when we are desperately not wanting to go to the grocery store. I think it would take a bit of a learning curve for me to grocery shop online though. I like seeing everything in the aisles.

I have Safeway deliver so I don't have to bother w the crowds n transporting groceries back to my house. Saving on delivery fees and 5% back is going to be nice.

Well worth the yearly fee. Local grocery store here charges a total $17.75 per delivery. Order once a month & that totals $215.40 for a year, I personally end up in the grocery store for just me a few times a month. Hopefully, they will offer it here soon.

This is kind of a tangent, but it makes me a little sad. It seems like companies are trying really hard to provide so much convenience to people that it seems like eventually, one will never have to even leave their house.

The whole "virtual reality' thing is up and coming and it's said to be an incredible "substitute" for actually taking a trip somewhere. On a more rudimentary level, Amazon Fresh allows you to never have to actually GO to the store. A little social interaction and shopping can be a good thing. I understand the whole "if I browse I'll buy it", thing, but you can just as easily peruse a website and make impulse purchases.

Anyway, not knocking anyone, more just a general "this makes me a little sad" thing as it seems the Internet wants to replace every single thing we do. Of course, I can see the value in it, it just makes me a little sad, similar to the ebooks vs print books thing.

The grocery store is not an interaction I want, the laundry room in my apartment is not the interaction I want, the fast food restaurant is not the interaction I want. I get what you're saying but for the busy professional replacing some of the Time consuming task allow for more important things to be done or spending more time with family or partners
