CSP + Freedom with one HP?

Good afternoon,

I tried searching for this topic on here but didn't find a dfinititive answer, my apologies if this is rehashing an old thread.

I was curious if anyone has had any luck applying for both CSP and Freedom with one HP. The normal service rep told me no it would be a new HP even though it has only been a few days since I was applied for the CSP. I will be calling underwriting directly but wanted to know if there was another way that someone has tried or if it just isn't done.

I was able to get Freedom + CSP with one HP. They pulled EQ for me. I first applied for Freedom and then a few others, before CSP. but nevertheless, I was approved for CSP under that 1 HP.

Chase doesn't work like most credit unions relying on 1 HP for a period of time. They typically pull do a HP for every credit application, and often do HP's from multiple CRA's per credit application.

So if you recetnly applied for freedom, you may have gotten a HP on EX & EQ (or any combination). If you apply for another product, Chase will most likely pull another credit report from one or more CRA's.

You won't know until you apply....YMMV.

General rule of thumb is to anticipate a HP for each unique product. Chase also often double pulls for applications anyway, so two cards with one single HP is fairly unlikely.

Back in Nov 2014 I got CSP and Freedom with one HP on EX, about two weeks apart.

They definately pulled 2( Transunion and Experian) for me on the CSP and the Freedom. I had a few negatives on my credit report at the time so it's possible I was a boarderline approval.

Yeah, they will most likely pull twice for each application. I'm too conservative to take those chances.

As said, it's a YMMV situation, some people get multiple pulls from cap one, my father got 1 on all three for his QS and VO, when he applied for Freedom they pulled EQ and EX, went for slate abd they pulled EQ only after. Good luck either way.

They pulled once for both my CSP and Freedom. I applied within the hour for both. Only shows up on EX.

I applied for a United and SW on the same day and received two EX pulls. Approved for SW but had to recon for United. Waiting 30 days and then going for Freedom or Slate and IHG. EX right at 670.

Chase double pulled me when I apped the CSP. So then I was like what the hell. Might as well. Apped the freedom, and they didn't pull again.

I would try for another SW card so you can get the companion pass for the rest of this year and next. It's worth it. I'm waiting for next year to do it and hopefully they have 2 SW card with 50K bonuses.

This is actually a point I hadn't considered. It's possible I got double pulled for the CSP and not at all fro the freedom. I did my apps minutes apart so there is really no way for me to know.
