I am looking of getting better cards here in 3 months and wondering what cards I could get with a transunion score around 640-660?

What are you looking for? Cash back or Travel rewards? A good card that pulls primarily pulls TU is Discover it.

Barclaycard Rewards

Capital One Platinum

Capital One QS1

Discover It Student version

Amazon store card

Walmart

According to Creditpulls database, you might be able to get:

Citi

Chase Freedom

Chase Sapphire Preferred

BofA Personal

The above are if you have no BK on file.

Cap1 qs1 or barc rewards are your best bet with a 640ish score I wouldn't app for a freedom etc til u hit 675+

I would also add Barclays Apple Rewards card as it seems to yield a better SL compared to Rewards MC for lower scores. I got approved for Rewards MC with $1000 SL and Apple Rewards with $2K SL with TU 641, on the same day.

My TU is at 690 and i Wanna wait till I hit that 700 mark to try for Chase slate or Sapphire.
Best bet is DI. It's a good card to grow with.

The one question no one has asked is what does your overall looks like? Baddies, collections, etc. Then one can give you some sound advice as to what cards to app for. Remember scores are just one part of the equation when applying for credit.

Discover can be tricky and doesn't always pull TU. They pulled EQ for my it card. I would think scores in the 650 range would be pushing it for discover. Depending on what exactly your going for anyway. Secured might be a different story.

USAA of course!!! I see you got that already.

Loose the First premier as fast as possible after

getting one/both of the following cards with you 640 TU score:

Barclaycard Rewards MC

Capital One QS1 MC

I have both, pay in Full every Month, 1.5% back on

everything CAP1 QuickSilver One and run all my

Utilities/Cell phones thru my Barclay Rewards for 2% back.

As everyone else is echoing I would suggest the Barclay Rewards for starters. IIRC I got approved for a $1,300 starting limit with a 602 TU score, with a BK reporting.

My wife had a similar score with some lates and a baddie on her CR...

We app'd her for the Platinum and the QS1 at the same time and got both with 1 HP across the 3 bureaus. The plan is working textbook too. I just PC'd her Platinum card to a regular QS 2 days ago, and in 6 months I'm hoping to combine the QS1 with the regular QS
