BBVA NBA app gone from online

Just noticed that one of our favorite CC apps has been taken off line and you can only app in branch now. Maybe due to all the complaints of "unable to verify" crap? Which we all know they can verify as they pulled the appropriate CRA.

Just thought it was interesting.....

Interesting, as ALL of their apps seem to be in branch only now..

Wonder if all the CPFB complaints forced them to do this? It might be back, just need to figure out what is wrong with their computer systems? One can only speculate. This is probably for the best though to be honest at least for now

Some banks just like to make you apply in branch. Cash+ was that way for a long time. Cuts down on influxes of applications which some banks cannot handle (such as BBVA, apparently).

Agree! Their system is whacked! It's a crap shoot! You either get instant approved or denied for unable to verify. There's no in between it seems like. They need to do something !!! It's complete BS!

Identity thing IMO still.. I don't think it has anything to do with the wanting you to apply in branch other than they don't have their shiz together. Just my honest opinion and getting slammed by BBB complaints and CPFB complaints left and right. Doesn't take to much searcing of the net to realize they have a real issue with their verification process

BBVA is a little like Wells Fargo in that they want to be a whole relationship bank.
Applying in the branch is painless, but the personal rejection upon denial stings a bit. (They don't exactly whisper)

In scope of size they aren't really that big of a bank at least compared to the big players, i.e. Chase BofA etc, so they really weren't prepared for the amount of applications and probably didn't want to be. I don't know if they want applicants or not but this is one way of losing business, you know no one unless they are a BBVA customer is going to go out of their way to find a branch, if there's even one in your state and apply for a card. Strange bank indeed, with all the other better options out there, who needs em?

LOL!!! Kinda like in the movies where the lady goes up to check out with groceries, and the clerk uses the intercom to call a manager over to her register stating...."manager to register 3, she doesn't have enough money!" Hahahahaha

I haven't had any issues with my Amex from them. Once I received an approved email I did go into the branch to change my address so they would mail it to my Po box. No problems and everyone was super nice. I am surprised I didn't have verification issues because my credit reports have my Po box mailing and the apps always want street address. I usually have to send something in with my Po box after apping to prove I'm the same person. But bbva didn't want anything

Sorry it's my fault. My last complaint must have sent them over the edge. "If we get one more complaint I swear we will take the whole freakin app offline!!" lol
