I have gotten to the point I stopped using my reg BOA like I use to because of no increase. I still use the NCL one for cruising since we get double the points and I can use it for OBC on our cruises. The Nursing one I got because it was JUST FRICKEN COOL to have one that said nursing on it. LOL

At this point, if they don't automatically increase in the 3-4 months like this rep said, I'll sock drawer them and use the cards that treat me better and only put a $10 charge on these every few months to keep them active.

IMHO you should be using cards that give you the highest rate of return anyway. That's just my 2 cents. Again, best of luck to you!

Agreed. My Sallie Mae is my lowest limit card by far. Over a year and I've never gotten a CLI. No way I'm SDing it.

Same here CAPTOOL.

BOA has me irritated with CLI

I have a total of 3 BOA cards. Two of them I have had over 2 years. I have NEVER received an increase on any of them. I have always found that odd. Any CLI that I would ask for involves a hard pull with them and honestly, I'm not willing to take it. So, I have never hit the love button, but have always found it strange they have never given me an increase after this amount of time.

So tonight I decide to contact them (the most annoying rep "chat" convo ever...he was so confusing). Anyhow, in the end, they proceed to tell me that the CUSTOMER has to call them and tell them "Turn on my auto increase button"...like seriously? We are supposed to know that this is not something that automatically happens within your company like it does every other company that I have ever dealt with? We have to tell you that we want an increase when available?? Seriously? I'm completely stunned at this. Anyone else with BOA had this same issue or had to "tell them" they want their auto increase button turned on?

So he claims he "flipped my button" and it will take about 3-4 months of them reviewing to offer an automatic increase.

I'm still stunned....

Can't say I've ever talked with a BofA CSR about CLI.

I did have higher limits on my older two BofA cards, along with hefty balances. This led to CLD balance chasing after the credit crisis hit, until early 2013 when the CLD stopped. At that point my BofA AMEX was at $12,700, down from $24,000 limit in early 2008.

In early 2015, they gave me an auto CLI on that AMEX of $3,000 to $15,700. It was a good day when I noticed that.

So it may be that they would tell me they turned on the CLI / CLD switch for me back in the day, and that results in the dynamic CL changes

What is your usage on the three BofA cards? So you are saying this IS a company that has this "flip button" that you have to get them to turn it on as well?

I refuse to have a HP put on my credit by asking for an increase...even with BOA or Sallie. I just don't want it. I have plenty of cards with good limits, so it's not like I "need" an increase, I just like to see those limits go up. But not at the expense of being put on my credit report.

I only have 1 HP on my TU credit report and it drops off in Aug and 2 HP on my EQ that will drop off Jan & Oct of next year.
