Any reports of Barclay Ring Auto CLI or SP CLI?

The Ring is a card we all know that you cannot call in and try the APR and SP CLI trick with. (the representative may laugh if you do so). I am wondering if anyone who has this card has received any auto CLI, or has received SP CLI.

In searching the forums I find only one report of Ring auto CLI or SP CLI, and that was from someone who spent $7,000 on it.

Most of us are not looking to spend $7,000 on it to get a CLI, but would like to know about potential future auto CLI or SP CLI opportunities.

Please chime in, Ring cardholders.

My RIng is very new and my SL is $12,500, so I'll be ok without a CLI for some time, but I would like to know if there are potential future opportunities for either auto or SP CLI. I have a feeling that a number of other Ring cardholders would like to know as well. Thanks, everyone.

I'm a new Ring cardholder as well (just got mine yesterday). From the information provided in the online account setup, they memtioned that your reported income is something they use to determine credit line increases. So presumably, if you get a raise or change to a job that pays better, Barclay will increase your credit limit accordingly.

Welcome to the Ring family! I'm enjoying my Ring thus far.

I've enjoyed and appreciated some very nice auto CLI's and SP CLi's on my other two Barclaycards, so I am hoping there will be an opportunity at some point for an auto CLI on the Ring as well. I don't know how one would ask for a SP CLI on this card, except perhaps to call and ask if there are any offers for our cards.

I'm very happy with my card and limit as is, but it's nice to know of some hope for the future for this card.

I just don't see too many people reporting CLI's specifically with the Ring card. Doesn't that seem unusual?

IME, all of my Ring CLIs have been HPs. My Ring SL was $500, and over the course of 3-4 hard inquiries over the past 2-3 years, I have been able to gradually bring up the CL to $1,900 thus far. Would definitely be very, very nice, if Barclays ever decided to offer a SP CLI option for Ring though...

I received a very small ($400) auto increase on my Ring right before my 6th statement cut. My 12th statement will cut next week and I'll report back if I receive another auto increase.

I have read from others that they have received much higher auto increases from Barclay right around the 6th statement, but I can't remember if they were for the Ring or not.

Fantastic, JustMe, thanks for letting us know! What level of usage did you have on the Ring card when you received the auto CLI?

I did a BT just to give the card some usage - went a little over 30% util and then paid it off a few months later. I was trying to get an auto increase because I had heard they do them around the 6th statement. Needless to say I was a little disappointed with the amount of the auto CLI, but something is better than nothing. I suppose I should have tried to use a little more of my CL, but oh well. I haven't used the card at all the past few months, so I doubt I'll see another auto CLI anytime soon - but I'll report back either way.

Since you asked, here you go. I have the Ring Card for two years now. No CLI or any auto Increase. It stays at the same $10K. This card my first one with Barclays. I have been usuing this card all the time. I have used it up to 4K and pay it down several times and still no CLI. However, I have been getting CLI via SP with the Aviator Card.

I do not blame Barclays at all. I know that I have enough credit so they must be saying that I do not need more than 10K.

That's my own conclusion with the only Barclay account that i have. The Ring Card now. The Rewards MC before.

No matter. I hate walking on eggshells so it doesn't really bother me if that's all they can do for mine anymore.

They're competitors are always eager and ever more than happy to make up any difference from their oversight, or lowball policies, if you want to call it that too.

Nothing here. I am still at the 12.5k I received when I apped for the card. I use it for long term large items. It is close to zero again. I am wondering if anything will happen. (Probably not...)

Yes got an Auto credit limit increase from starting limit from $2,500 to $7,500 then called even thou I knew we had lowest Apr and asked about reduction told no and asked about Soft pull increase told no hard pull so said go ahead since my profile got stronger and whoooo Hoooo a new increase to $15,500 off transunion my highest score.We only put $2,000-$3,000 a month thru it always pay it down to a couple hundred $200-300 and let it sit cause even if we pay interest it's only on a couple hundred but with the ring card I'm at 8.25 % no biggie even only that n cash advances so this is our go to card for cash advances and for carrying a balance on larger purchases ! Love this card no rewards or perks but love the Lve they are showing in just a little at or over 10 months.Have a friend they did same exact thing we did couple thousand let small balanc sit and they too were hugely rewarded with a auto increase of $4,500 and 4 months later another $1,500 putting them at $17,500 ! I pre ad the word to more friends wh just got it and will update if they too will be successful !

I started at 10k and haven't given them a chance for auto CLI's.

between closing cards and moving limits around, I'm at 20k.

currently have 4K on it for house slab on my new house

Yours is actually some smart managing for maximum benefit to your credit profile all the way around.

Approved August 2015 at 5k. HP August of 2015 increase to 15k. Nothing since then. I don't swipe it much but I have done multiple 2k+ cash advances and then paid them off. Nada.

I had asked and been told no to moving limits between Sallie/Ring last year but they seemed to indicate that might be possible after the cards were a little older. Maybe better to have multiple products and get SP increases on them then move the limit to the ring. I might ask some point this year to move 5k to it and have 2k Sallie 20K ring I'll post if I get that done. 15k is really good for me but the 40% of limit for cash advance sucks (it's good actually but I wish it was 100%)

Logged in today for a $1500 increase from $1,000 to $2,500. Got the card in June 2015, along with 5 others. TU score recently increased from 622 to 705 from paying off debt.
