Anyone request a CLI after registering brand new cap one card online? Just wondering if anyone has ever got one or do they give you the "let us think about it" message?

Capital One does not give CLIs on new cards. They like to see usage before giving out a CLI. If you got that message then it is a decline unfortunately.

Some people can get CLI's after the second statement cuts. It is a SP to request one online. Capital One says every 6 months - but there are cases where you can get one after the 2nd statement but before the 6 month mark. But you have got to use and pay that card, they like you using it.

Since it's a SP, I'd try after the 2nd statement cuts and then each statement until the 6 month mark. If it is denied, they will send you a letter and let you know why. Mine changed from account to new, to we've given you enough credit (fair enough), to your scores are not good enough to warrent a CLI. I try again every three months since the seem to SP me at that interval.

I was just wondering if anyone had any success at getting their initial credit line increased by using the online platform, without calling in to request more. I have 3 other Capital One cards but I never tried to get my initial line increased.
